How to prepare to sell your Character

Selling your Character can be a great way to earn extra cash while ensuring your device gets a second life. To maximize your resale value and ensure a smooth transaction, follow this step-by-step guide.

Step 1: Determine your Character’s Functionality & Condition

Grab your Character and determine which Eco Toreda Condition Standard best describes it.

• Screen & Body: Look for scratches, dents, cracks, or discoloration.
• Buttons & Ports: Test all buttons, charging ports, and any other connectors.
• Battery Health: In general, a battery with 80% or more battery charging capacity is considered Good. If yours is less than 80%, choose Poor Battery.
• Performance: Ensure your Character powers on, responds correctly, and connects to Wi-Fi/Bluetooth.
• Accessories: Grab the original Character accessories (charger, power cable) are available and functional.

Step 2: Remove Personal Data from Your Device

Before handing over your Character, erase all personal data to protect your privacy. Follow these general steps:

1. Back Up Your Data: Use cloud storage or a computer to save important files, contacts, and photos.
2. Sign Out of Accounts: Deactivate any connected accounts (e.g., Apple ID, Google, Samsung, Microsoft) to prevent activation locks.
3. Factory Reset your Character: Navigate to the settings menu and select “Reset” or “Erase All Content.” Ensure the process is complete before shutting down the device.
4. Remove External Storage (If Applicable): Take out SD cards or SIM cards before packaging.

Step 3: What to Bring

We'll pack and ship your Character for you but remember to bring the following items:

• Power Cable & Charger: The original Character adapter and cable add value and make the device more appealing.
• Original Box & Packaging (If Available): Providing the original box improves presentation and protection.
• Accessories: Include any extras that came with the Character, such as a stylus, dock, or protective case.

Step 4: Final Touches Before Selling

A clean and well-presented device makes a big difference. Take the time to do the following:

• Remove Stickers & Decals: Any personal markings or stickers should be peeled off carefully.
• Clean the Device: Wipe down the screen and body with a microfiber cloth and an alcohol-based cleaner.
• Check All Ports: Inspect charging, audio, and other ports to ensure they’re free of dust and debris.
